Nash ’03 is Number One For Scrimmage
University of Hawaii Men’s Basketball player Bobby Nash ’03 was the first player selected in the draft for the annual Twilight Ohana intrasquad scrimmage. Nash is trying to bounce back from last season’s shoulder injury. (Honolulu Advertiser – October 10, 2006)

Hannemann’s ’72 Team Aloha Concept A Basketball Success Story
The inaugural trip of Team Aloha, a squad of local high school girls basketball players organized by Mufi Hannemann ’72, netted a championship trophy at the Storm and Swish Fall Shootout at UC Santa Barbara. Sumida ’06 and Ma ’02 Featured
Leigh Sumida ’06, a freshman defensive specialist at the University of Puget Sound, got 12 digs and two aces in a match with Whitman College. Matt Ma ’02, a senior golfer at the University of Oregon, won his first collegiate title at the Northwest Collegiate Classic that concluded on October 3. (Honolulu Advertiser – October 11, 2006)

Alton Chung ’76 In Town for Talk Story Festival
Master storyteller Alton Chung ’76, a resident of Oregon, will be in Honolulu this week for the 18th Annual Talk Story Festival. He will debut his new work, “Heroes”, a tale about the Japanese-American members of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. First, though, he’ll tell the story to the members of the 442nd.
