40th Annual Hawaiian Invitational Water Polo Tournament
It may be still summer vacation, but 'Iolani's water polo athletes are still hard at work. 'Iolani entered 5 teams - boys under 14, 16 and 18 and girls under 16 and 18.
This tournament attracts many mainland teams and even foreign teams and the competition tends to be very, very tough.
Even so, the Raiders held their own and managed some victories and were able to place 3rd (boys 14), 7th (girls 16), 6th (boys 16) and another 6th place for girls 18.
The mainland teams play much longer seasons and play many more matches against good competition, so this tournament gives our teams a lot of good experience that will help them during the regular season.
